32 members of the KDO Sr. Citizen's club toured Kolcata, Sikkim, Darjeeling, & Bhutan from 18th April to 5th May 2009. They travelled by train from Mumbai to Kolcata, Kolcata to New Jalpaiguri and New Jalpaiguri to Mumbai. The tour included travel by AC III tier and stay at 3 Star Hotels in Gangtok, 1 night in Lachung, 2 nights in Pelling, 2 nights in Darjeeling, 2 nights in Puncholing & 2 nights in Thimpu
They visited Yumthang Valley, Zero Point, Changu Lake, and Nathula Border. They did white river rafting in Testa River for 20km. They got to view glorious sunrises in the Darjeeling mountains as they travelled in the famous Toy Train from Ghoom through towns and parks to Darjeeling Junction. On the way saw many beautiful waterfalls, beautiful parks, pagodas, monastries, & the famous Kanchanjuga snowcapped mountain.

Divya and Aditya Shah, Indore, India shine in Cultural and Chess competitions

Smt. Nirmalaben Shantilal Shial's grand daughter Divya (12 Years) won a third prize in Odisi Dance in the All India Drama/ Dance/ Music Contest held in Pune under theauspices of UNESCO AND INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR THEATRE ASSOCIATION,BELGIUM on 2-6-2009 in which 5,500 artists took part.

Grandson -Adityavardhan also won a prize in the Madhya Pradesh State Level CHESScompetition held recently in Indore.

Nischaya Lalka's Wedding - February 2009

Nischaya Mahendra Lalka has married Ritu Salot of Ahmedabad on Friday 27th February 2009. The Governor of Gujarat Shri Navalkishore Sharma attended the Reception and blessed the couple.
Shri Shantilalbhai with Smt.Nirmalaben, Shri Manikant Dhulla with Smt.Tarlaben and their son, daughter inlaw, son in law and their close relations & friends attended the wedding & receiption. Mr. Lalka's daughter Mrs. Dhara and Mayank Shah & their twin daughters (living in New Jersey, USA) with their parents were also there throughout all the Ceremonies.
